Unfortunately AirBnB doesn’t allow me to reflect how great our stay was and how much we liked it – two sisters on a trip in the Cotswolds: 5 plus extra stars!

The village is less touristy than Broadway or Chipping Campden, has a great pub but is a short taxi ride away from
Chipping Campden if you want to go in.

“From the initial point of contact with Sue, I knew this would be a lovely place to stay.
She was friendly and helpful and always willing to answer questions even before I arrived.
Ilmington is a lovely Cotswolds village close to places of interest to visit. The Lodge itself is a good-sized bedroom/sitting room/open kitchen arrangement with an ensuite bathroom.
The whole place is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail so that whatever you think you may need in self-catering accommodation, you can be sure that Sue has already thought of it.
An exceptionally well-stocked basket of goodies was also provided and with the other things already in the kitchen, it meant for my 2-night stay, I was able to have wonderful country breakfasts.

“We loved our stay at The Lodge over the Bank Holiday. The studio apartment is recently built and provided us with everything we would need for a short break and more as the lovely owners left a gift basket of delightful goodies including homemade jams and bread, free range eggs and even a bottle of wine for our stay!
Kitted out in all mod cons we needed for nothing and the owner Sue was friendly and helpful with plenty of ideas for things to do and see in the local area. Ilmington is a small and pretty village and acts as a great starting point for exploring the Cotswolds, we do recommend the Howard Arms (a 5 min walk from the Lodge) which is a great pub that does really good food and ale. Also the Eight Bells Inn in Chipping Campden is great for food and the Arts & Crafts Museum in the village is definitely worth a visit.
